Ingredients You’ll Need

Just 4 ingredients are all it takes to make this easy Chick Fil A Cool Wrap copycat. Check out my notes below, and scroll to the recipe card for a printable ingredients list.

  • Wraps – I like to use Flatout Wraps, or you can make these wraps with your preferred flatbread or whole grain tortillas.
  • Lettuce Leaves – Good options are Romaine, iceberg, or Bibb lettuce.
  • Cheese – Shredded Monterey Jack, cheddar, or Colby, or a shredded cheese blend.
  • Chicken – I use my Chick Fil A Grilled Nuggets recipe and shred or slice them. You can use any cooked chicken that you have on hand. Other good options are rotisserie chicken or leftover roast chicken.
  • Dipping Sauce – At Chick Fil A you get your choice of dipping sauce. You can opt for store-bought Chick Fil A Avocado Lime Ranch Sauce, or any sauce you’d like. See the serving suggestions later on for more ideas.

How to Make a Chick Fil A Cool Wrap

Making these Cool Wraps with pre-cooked chicken means that they come together quickly, in about 10 minutes. Here’s a short step-by-step showing how to make them. Scroll down to the recipe card for printable instructions.

  • Prep the wraps. First, warm the wraps (or tortillas) in the microwave so that they’re soft and pliable.
  • Assemble. Place a lettuce leaf over each wrap, and layer over the shredded cheese and cooked chicken.
  • Roll and serve. Roll up the wraps the same way that you would a burrito (see below). Afterward, cut the wrap in half and get dipping!

How Do You Roll a Chicken Wrap?

The best way to roll these Cool Wraps is burrito-style. Make sure that your fillings are layered in the center of the wrap, and don’t overfill (see the step-by-step above). Start by folding in the sides of the tortilla, and then roll it tightly closed.

Tips and Variation Ideas

To make sure your Chick Fil A Cool Wrap turns out successfully, follow the tips below. I’ve also included some tasty variations that you can try!

  • Heat the wraps. Warming the wraps in the microwave or a skillet for a few seconds makes them easier to fold without tearing.
  • Add the dressing right into the wrap. If you’d prefer to spread your choice of sauce or dressing over your wrap before assembling, that works too!
  • More veggies. Boost your wraps with diced tomatoes, shredded carrots, cabbage, or spinach.
  • Toast the wraps. Once your wraps are assembled, you can toast them seam-side-down in a hot skillet for a few minutes per side.
  • Make it crispy. You can use any kind of cooked chicken for this recipe, grilled or otherwise. For a crispy chicken wrap, try my copycat Chick Fil-A Chicken Nuggets recipe! Feel free to shred, slice, or dice the chicken as you’d like.
  • Southwestern. Make a Cool Wrap variation of my crunchy Southwestern chicken wrap and add in tomato, avocado, and crispy Fritos!
  • Add bacon. Dice up some cooked crispy bacon, or add strips of bacon (also see my chicken bacon ranch wrap recipe).
  • BBQ chicken wraps. Add a punch of BBQ flavor and substitute the shredded nuggets with Instant Pot BBQ chicken instead.
  • Dairy-free. Leave out the shredded cheese or replace it with your preferred dairy-free or plant-based cheese alternative.
  • Gluten-free. Make this Cool Wrap recipe with gluten-free wraps or tortillas. Make sure that the dipping sauce you choose is also gluten-free.

What To Serve With Chick Fil A Cool Wraps

Enjoy these Cool Wraps as an easy snack or as a light lunch or dinner, and get creative with dipping sauces (see above). To round out the meal, pair your wraps with a side of air fryer fries, or pasta salad, washed down with a cool and creamy frosted lemonade. For dessert, try this homemade version of the ultra-fudgy, famous Chick-Fil-A brownies. You’ll be skipping the drive-thru from now on!

Storing and Reheating Leftovers

  • Refrigerate. While Cool Wraps are best enjoyed right away, you can keep any leftovers airtight and refrigerate them for up to 2-3 days.
  • Freeze. I don’t recommend freezing the assembled wraps. However, you can store any pre-cooked chicken in a freezer bag or freezer-safe container to freeze ahead for future wraps! Thaw the chicken in the fridge and add it to the wraps whenever you’re ready.

  • 4 romaine lettuce leafs

  • 1 cup shredded Monterey jack cheese

Instructions

  • Heat wraps or tortillas for 15-20 seconds to make them more pliable and easier to fold.
  • Arrange romaine lettuce into the center of each wrap. Top with ¼ cup of cheese and about ½ cup of chicken.
  • Wrap them up like you would a burrito (folding in the sides and rolling to close). Slice in half and serve with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes
